Santa Claus

We took Sydney to have her picture taken with Santa. All week we told her we were going to go and see him and he would give her a treat. She was so excited and all week when we would say Santa she goes "Ho Ho Ho". So we woke up Saturday morning and told here we were going to see Santa today and she looked at us and stopped and said "No Santa" I was a little nervous but we were going anyway. We got her all dressed in her pretty dress and were ready to go. She had a good time running around the halls with her cousins and then it was our turn. When we walked in Santa said a big "Ho Ho Ho" and she turned so fast and looked at him and just started to scream. She was literally shaking in my arms at the thought of having to go and sit on Santa's lap. I finally just had to set her down and let her cry. The bottom picture was the very first one as you can tell she is scared out of her mind but then after a minute the top picture was the best smile she could muster. She was so cute when she got her treat from Santa she was not done crying but she choked out a "thank you Santa bye bye Santa." Then on the ride home she kept saying "Santa hold me, Santa hold me." We asked if she like Santa and she said yes, then we ask if she wanted to go back and see Santa "No!" I guess we will never forget this Santa picture where Sydney was scared to death. Hopefully next year will be better!

Poor Sydney! One day she will figure out that Santa is a nice guy and you are right... a classic picture! Santa is very photogenic... where were you at? We still need to take Sadie to see Santa!

I remember those dreaded "sitting on Santa's lap" days. Marisa was probably 18 before she would do it without freaking out!

Classic picture. I hope she grows out of it by next year.

Poor Sydney, but those pictures are adorable! When I showed the pictures to Cameron he said "Sidney Sad" and tried to give the computer a hug. I was also remembering last year with both our babies crying on Santa's lap! What great memories!
